About the Workplace Red Flags category

Not all red flags are obvious, until you’re in the thick of it. Whether it was a boss who thrived on chaos, policies that made no sense, or coworkers who felt more like cautionary tales, share the moments that made you realize your workplace might not be the right fit. By recognizing the signs early, we can learn from each other, set better boundaries, and build a healthier work environment—together. :triangular_flag:

I was working a job at a startup, that I actually really believed in and loved. The previous manager didn’t really have his stuff in line, but he was fine. He made sure we got 200 dials in a day, that was our only metric LOL. He eventually got fired and an internal woman took over and starting giving us all of these metrics. 210 minutes of dial time a day (phone ringing or you talking), which if you’ve ever done sales you understand how crazy that is. Leaving you with no time to email, do out reach, attend demos, etc. I basically got fired (technically I left) for not having a positive attitude, goodbye.

I once worked somewhere that monitored my keyboard activity. Never again.
