like do people really say what they’re looking for or just whatever sounds hireable?
because i’m tired of pretending i love challenges when i just want health insurance
Definitely ask about benefits! I didn’t marry my wife without making sure we were on the same page about things lol but you can pretend to love challenges and still get appropriately compensated for it!
Hoping your wife is treating you better than your boss!
this reference is good except for not sure im signing up for my life with my job thanks for the insight
prob not
Totally understand your frustration. I’m usually honest to an extent.
You don’t need to directly say you like challenges. If they ask you that question, you can try to pivot it to something like, “ I believe it’s important to embrace challenges, especially with a supportive and strong team working alongside me so that we can all succeed.”
That way it kinda puts it on them to provide a supportive environment where someone would want to accept challenges.
Higher-ups love to hear people speak their language because it says you have experience bs-ing your way through things. Just try to listen for any red flags.
very insightful, never thought to gaslight them into fostering a positive environment for me.. at least at first
