Mental health at work

last year, one of our team members had a full-blown mental health breakdown. you could see it coming, missed deadlines, scattered in meetings, logging on at 2 a.m., turning in work that was totally unlike them. eople noticed but no one actually said anything.

management’s approach? pretend nothing was happening, pile on more work, and keep reminding the team about “wellness resources” in the company Slack. the same Slack where we were getting tagged at all hours.

the worst part? they gave that person employee of the month, they left not too long after. THis kind of stuff really shoud be taken more seriously

It does need to be taken more seriously, but your old teammember seems fine
